Meet Ryan – Your Local Pest Controller

Based down the road in Grantham I know the local South Nottinghamshire area well. Before pest control I spent several years working locally in industrial resin flooring and carpet fitting before deciding to take a new direction.

In 2015, I launched my own pest control business with Pestforce, driven by a desire to work closer to home and spend more time with my young daughter. Nearly a decade later, I still love what I do – solving pest problems that others can’t and helping my local community stay pest-free.

Over the years, I’ve built lasting relationships with many local businesses, including Grantham Estates, Finkin’s, and Garden Yard. I’m a proud Liverpool supporter, and when the week’s done, nothing beats a good curry to celebrate another round of pests sorted and happy customers served.

Wasps cause a nuisance around a front door in Newark, NG24, 20th June 2022

Pestforce Pest Control Newark received a call and attended a home in Newark where the occupants had raised concerns about wasps entering and leaving gaps in the mortar above their front door. On our arrival we could clearly see why this was a concern for the family. Wasp stings can be painful and with the wasps being so close to the front door, which is the main entrance to the home, they would be disturbing the wasps when entering and leaving the home. There was no wasps nest present, but a lot of wasps. Luckily our team were able to treat the wasps immediately. Our client was delighted.

Noises in the loft investigated in Newark, NG22 - May 2022

Pestforce Pest Control Newark were called to investigate noises coming from the loft of a home in Newark. A friend of the client has been into the loft and discovered rat droppings. We arrived and completed a full survey of the home. During our survey we witnessed birds nesting in the loft space, and although rat droppings were present, these were old and there were no further signs of rodent activity. We also noticed a plastic air brick had been damaged. As there had previously been an issue with rats, we also fitted rodent proof mesh over the air brick to help to prevent further infestation in the future.

Harmless solitary bees visit a home in Newark, NG22 - April 2022

Pestforce Pest Control Newark received a call from a worried customer in Newark. The customer believed wasps were nesting in the walls of their home, close to front the door. We swiftly arrived and discovered they were in fact solitary bees. Solitary bees are completely harmless and are excellent pollinators, therefore, no treatment is necessary. The customer was advised to mortar the holes next spring before the bees get back in to lay more eggs in the holes.

Rodent control for home in Newark - March 2022

Pestforce Pest Control Newark recently carried out a Treatment for rats near Newark on Trent. The rats had gotten into a shed in the garden and started nesting. We have started getting rid of the rodents and the customer is going to get rid of the old shed once the rats are cleared.

Cluster fly fogging treatment in Newark - February 2022

Pestforce Pest Control Newark recently carried out a fogging treatment in a loft space near Newark to clear out a cluster fly issue for one of our letting agent clients. They had sent out a plumber to install an extractor fan and when the plumber entered the loft there were hundreds of cluster fly so he couldn't carry out the work. We surveyed the loft to make sure there were no bats or birds and after finding none we carried out the insecticide fogging treatment to clear the loft of the cluster fly.
