Hi I’m Jay, and I run Pestforce Pest Control Blackpool.
Originally from Canterbury, I moved up to Blackpool nearly four years ago to be with my partner and I’ve not looked back since. I’ve made this place home and properly thrown myself into local life.
You’ll often find me out enjoying the space and fresh air, I’m big into fishing, hiking, and exploring the local sand dunes with my two lads. I’ve always been an outdoors person, and I love what this part of the Fylde coast has to offer.
I’ve got a background in the airline industry and teaching here in Blackpool, so I’m no stranger to working with people and explaining things clearly. That’s a big part of what I bring to pest control, it’s not just about getting rid of the problem, it’s about making sure you feel safe, understood, and reassured from the minute you call.
On top of that, I proudly serve as a Sergeant Instructor with the Blackpool Army Cadets, which is something I care about deeply. It’s all about discipline, community, and helping young people find confidence and I carry that same sense of pride and responsibility into every job I take on.

In February 2026, Jackie in Blackpool FY3 contacted Pestforce Blackpool & Fylde about mice in her kitchen after another pest control company failed to resolve the issue. During our inspection, we found an access point beneath the back door where pipework from a recent extension had not been sealed properly. This allowed mice to enter the underfloor space and reach the utility cupboard. Our inspection found long-term mouse activity in the loft, with exposed brickwork in the garden room allowing access into the cavity walls and up into the roof space. Squirrel Control Service in Blackpool, FY1 – February 2026
In February 2026, James in Blackpool FY1 contacted Pestforce Blackpool & Fylde after hearing scratching above his bedroom ceiling. Our inspection revealed a grey squirrel had squeezed through a tight gap above a second-storey bay window and entered the eaves. The difficult access made trapping challenging, and the squirrel avoided several traps. To solve the problem, we installed surveillance cameras to monitor activity and adjust trap placement. With persistence and targeted squirrel control methods, we successfully removed the squirrel and prevented further access, protecting the property from potential damage to wiring and roof timbers.

Our inspection found a slipped roof tile above a rear extension that allowed pigeons to enter the loft space and begin nesting. Beetle Control Service in Lytham St Annes, FY8 – February 2026
In February 2026, Ian in Lytham St Annes FY8 contacted Pestforce Blackpool & Fylde on behalf of his mum after she discovered small beetles in her bedroom. Following a detailed inspection, we identified the insects as biscuit beetles rather than woodworm, meaning there was no structural timber damage. We carried out targeted treatment to eliminate the infestation and advised on identifying and removing the likely food source to prevent further problems. Ian and his mum were relieved the issue was not woodworm and were pleased once the beetle activity was fully resolved.

Our inspection found damaged air bricks allowing mice into the kitchen, loft, wall cavities and upstairs rooms. As Helen has two dogs, we used a carefully controlled baiting approach to ensure pet safety. In January 2026, Alex in Thornton FY5 contacted Pestforce Blackpool & Fylde after finding mouse droppings in his front room and hallway. Our inspection confirmed a house mouse infestation, with activity also present in the loft. Using UV tracking dust, trapping, and professional baiting, we monitored and eliminated the infestation over three visits. Our inspection confirmed a squirrel had chewed through the fascia board and created a nest in the ceiling void. The squirrel had damaged insulation and electrical wiring and left a large opening exposing the property to winter weather. Fly Control Service in St Annes-on-the-Sea, FY8 – January 2026
In January 2026, Abdul from a housing association contacted Pestforce Blackpool & Fylde regarding a fly problem at a managed property in St Annes-on-the-Sea FY8. Flies were present in the basement and two ground-floor flats. Our inspection identified the insects as Phorid flies and traced the source to a previous drainage issue in the basement where pipework had been replaced. We carried out a professional fogging treatment to reduce fly activity quickly and provided guidance on further remedial work required to fully eliminate the source. Rat Control Service in Bispham, FY2 – January 2026
In January 2026, Roberto in Bispham FY2 contacted Pestforce Blackpool & Fylde after seeing rats running through his garden. Following a full survey, we discovered a rat nest under decking attached to the property. Fortunately, the rats had not gained access inside the house. We carried out targeted proofing to block potential entry points and used trapping and professional baiting to eliminate the infestation beneath the decking. German Cockroach Treatment in Lytham St Annes, FY8 – January 2026
In January 2026, Georgina in Lytham St Annes FY8 contacted Pestforce Blackpool & Fylde after discovering German cockroaches in her kitchen and bathroom. Our inspection identified the main harbourage around the boiler on a shared wall with a vacant neighbouring property. We carried out a targeted treatment using advanced gel bait technology. As expected with cockroach infestations, a follow-up visit was required to treat newly hatched nymphs. After the second treatment two weeks later, the infestation was fully eliminated.
